Summer Tea Party

6/13/2021

I hosted a Summer Tea Party at our house this weekend! My mom & granny came down from Tennessee to join us, plus Brandon’s mom, Mama, and sister, Megan. Everyone wore their Sunday best with the cutest hats, and it was such a fun afternoon.

The invitations I sent out (ignore that the day of the week is incorrect):

The decorations:

My table setting:

I made everything from scratch, and gluten free. The rules were that everyone had to try at least one bite of everything. I had 3 courses, each with a different flavor of tea. Lemon sweet tea, mango hibiscus, and peach sweet tea!

I also had flowers frozen in ice cubes for everyone’s water.

We started with a cheers (with our pinkies up, of course!)

The first course was strawberry scones, biscuits, blueberry muffins, and a few thumbprint cookies with berry jam (that expanded in the oven and did not turn out very cute). I had 3 different flavors of preserves out as well (tart cherry, mixed berry, and blueberry pomegranate). This course was paired with lemon sweet tea.

The second course was savory with mini BLTs, salmon croquettes (Brandon made these, and they turned out SO cute), and mini ham & cheese quiches. This went with the mango hibiscus tea.

The last course was vanilla buttercream cake & chocolate cupcakes.

Then we took some group pictures!

Thank you to my guests for coming & always putting up with my crazy party ideas!
