Day 2 of MRM was a whirlwind and I am so thrilled to have been a part of it. We started with a “Cereal and CVs session run by two new practitioners, Nimit Jindal (Past APhA-ASP President) and Carly Harsha (APhA staff).
The morning was full of tons of amazing sessions! Kelli Jo, our current APhA-ASP President, spoke about her presidential theme “Fearlessly Authentic” and inspired everyone in attendance!
We gave away some prizes of course.
At noon, the Career Connection Opportunities Expo began.
Meet the candidates also took place, with 9 amazing candidates sharing their vision for the future of region 3. Congratulations to all the students who pursued a position.
I was so thrilled to see the passion of all the students participating.
Dr. Sarah Uroza from Lipscomb delivered a session on Women’s Health Communication Skills.
I conducted an interview with Bob Coleman, CEO of GPhA, who helped to sponsor MRM this year. Huge thank you to NASPA and all the state associations who contributed.
The GPhA Student Leadership Board was well represented by all 4 schools in Georgia at MRM.
Then the Policy Proposal Forum began, led by Kalyn, our regional delegate! I am so proud of all the chapters who submitted resolutions and contributed to the discussion.
David Giang, National Member at Large, and I had a power suit contest in varying shades of pink.
Huge thank you to Dennis, Emma, and Alex for all their help on Day 2!
There was a super fun bar crawl at The Battery as well to bring the day to a close (a mechanical bull ride may have been involved)!
