December 17-18, 2018
I recently jetted off to Houston, Texas for a 2 day introductory compounding bootcamp at the PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America) headquarters. There were 6 Mercer students in attendance, and 70 students total! We learned so much, I have never done any compounding before and was excited to learn a new skill in the pharmacy field. We made 11 different dosage forms, including lollipops, suppositories, troches, an oral suspension, gel, foam cleanser, and capsule. And we got to take them all home with us! I am so grateful for the experience and look forward to going to the advanced and veterinary compounding bootcamps with PCCA in the coming years.
